This week the photo challenge from the Daily Post is Collage.
I have collected together some of my skyscapes from 2017 in West Cumbria. All except two are sunsets. The other two are perhaps of more interest to sky-watchers. The supermoon was taken in the morning. The halo has already appeared on Twitter.
From a train
Towards the end of last month I travelled by train to attend a meeting of a writers’ group. The weather was perfect – a bright sunny spring day. I took some snaps from the trains and a few more in the city. Although the clocks had not changed to British Summer Time, we enjoyed plenty of daylight that day.
The short days of November and December have sometimes been brightened by the setting sun.
Here is a selection of the photos I took, in several cases wrapping up warm and venturing out of doors!
One of them was a subject of conversation for days afterwards. I’ll leave you to guess which one. The two photos taken on the same day were about 13 minutes apart.
