The passion flower growing in a tub in our garden is supported by some netting on the fence. I have cropped a photo of the first of its flowers to open this summer.
In the autumn we visited a garden centre, where we bought some bedding plants for winter colour. We chose a mixture of pansies and violas. (They are all in the viola family.) We planted them in some plant pots and a tub. A few have flowered already and there are more buds. Slugs or snails demolished a few in plant pots. As we are in an exposed position the flowers suffer from wind-burn.
When I was looking through my photos to find a suitable one for this CMMC challenge, my first thought was to post a photo of the passionflower in our garden. The photos I had were interesting, but not up to the standard of this challenge. Instead I posted a fungus.
The very next day there was a new flower, so I am posting a photo of it here and linking with two of Cee’s challenges – CMMC (Cee’s Midweek Madness Challenge) and FOTD (Flower of the Day). There are raindrops on the flower.
