Sunshine lifts the ordinary

This week’s Photo challenge from Cheri Lucas Rowlands of the Daily Post is about finding beauty or interest in ordinary things.

As I walked along a street at the weekend I became aware of the sun shining on a public house.  There was a unicorn I had not previously noticed.  The Candlestick (after which the pub is named) is a chimney left from historic coal-mining in the town.  Its picture is just visible on the traditional pub sign, which has a shadow almost perfectly aligned with it.

Although the photo is a quick snap using my phone and is not a masterpiece, I hope you will agree it satisfies the prompt.
